Are you a Francophile with miles of sultry strolls along le Boulevard Saint-Germain? Or simply an appreciator of the beautifully poignant music found in 1900s French sidewalk cafes and cabarets?
SonoMusette was cofounded in 2016 by Robert Lunceford, accordionist, and Mimi Pirard, vocalist. Their devotion to Parisian chanson icons such as Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, and Jacques Brel, has emerged authentically. Pirard lived in France as a child, and speaks her father’s native tongue fluently. Lunceford was born on Bastille Day and began playing accordion at the age of seven, focusing on European and traditional music.
Accompanied by a talented group of musicians playing piano, guitar, upright bass and drums, SonoMusette has performed in diverse north bay and bay area venues such as Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, City Lights Theater in San Jose, and the historic Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma.
